Marketplace Customer Support

The Open Enrollment Period for 2019 health coverage is Nov. 1 through Dec. 15, 2018. If you experience a major life change before or after open enrollment, you may qualify for a Special Enrollment Period to enroll in Marketplace coverage. You can apply online, over the phone or in person.

Help Using the Marketplace

If you have questions or need help selecting a health plan or completing your application, there are several types of help available. You can:

Call the toll-free call center, open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

  • Call 1-800-318-2596 (TTY: 1 855-889-4325) to speak to someone who can help you.
  • A can find help with SHOP by calling 1-800-706-7893 (TTY: 711).

Chat live with someone online.

Talk to someone in person.

  • A or is someone specially trained to help you. They are required to provide fair and accurate information. They can help you fill out your application in person or help you learn about the different insurance plans.

  • Call the Cover Missouri Call Center at 1-800-466-3213.

Talk to an agent or broker.

  • Agents and brokers can also help you find, choose, and buy coverage. They must be appropriately registered to conduct business in the Marketplace.
  • It’s important to note that agents and brokers can receive money from a health insurance company for enrolling people into their plans.
  • However, if an agent or broker meets all the standards, they can also be called a Navigator. If the agent or broker is working as a Navigator, they cannot receive money from a health insurance company. A Navigator must provide fair and accurate information.

Small business

Under the Affordable Care Act, a small business is a for-profit or nonprofit business with 50 or fewer full-time equivalent employees.

Navigator

People in communities throughout Missouri who are certified to provide free help to consumers enrolling in the Health Insurance Marketplace.

Certified application counselor (CAC)

People who provide free help to consumers enrolling in the Health Insurance Marketplace. CACs work at local community organizations, hospitals or health centers.
